White Window
| "White Window was set up in 2002 in order to create an annual artists' residency in Ramsgate, a very small exhibition space (a window) and a suite of resoundingly intelligent publications. It has done none of these. Instead it has produced, and is still producing a complex series of events on both sides of the channel. It has also begun to develop some new ways of working which are effective outside of art epicentres such as London and Paris".

White Window was founded by Jane Lee, Peter Fillingham and Jim Hicks in 2002. Rachael Daniels (Creative Director of White Nave) worked alongside the founders for five years as the organisation's Project Manager.
White Window produced many exhibitions and cultural interventions in both Kent and Nord-Pas de Calais between 2002 and 2006 when the company ‘ownership' was passed over to Rachael due to the founders' relocations outside of Kent. The organisation was renamed White Nave to encompass new possibilities in Kent and expansion with services to artists.

Peter Fillingham, Co-Founder of White Window wrote:
"White Window prides itself on memories of cultural projects which included and engaged a wide range of people of different ages and experiences. All of our projects included students and they were all co-ordinated by Rachael Daniels, who was the interface between the student population, friends in the community and the artists and writers to whom she was introduced.
White Window is extremely pleased to support the birth of White Nave, a new ambitious collaboration between mother and daughter Sue and Rachael Daniels who have assimilated White Window into their new community interest company White Nave in the creative ambitions and larger future within Kent, Dover and our European Neighbours.
So many artists who worked with White Window continued strong links with us and have now pledged their support and contribution to White Naves future projects".
