The Landscape of Exchange (1)
The Landscape of Exchange (1) is the first of an ongoing series of projects and exhibitions that examines the value (aesthetic, cultural, fiscal) of exchange between young artists living outside of major art world centres.
In the months leading up to the simultaneous, three-fold exhibition, the artists will exploit the internet to trade ideas, advice, and artworks at little or no cost. The easy reproducibility of the works will eliminate their commercial value in celebration of the aesthetic and cultural values of exchange and collaboration. While the three exhibitions will occur in tandem, they will vary in accordance to the spaces (physical and cultural) they inhabit.
The Landscape of Exchange (1) is a curatorial collaboration between Rachael Daniels (Independent Curator and Creative Director of White Nave, Dover, UK), Nadia Christidi (Independent Curator, Amman, Jordan) and Emma Chubb (independent curator, Philadelphia, USA).
