White Nave Programmes and Projects

White Nave's programmes, and the projects within them, form the core operations of the company that are planned to support Kent artists' development and to engage with local communities.  Using the Charlton Art Centre as a base, we aim to deliver a range of events and activities that will encourage community involvement and also provide opportunities for artists to raise their visibility and develop their practice.

The Documenting Dover Programme 

A long-term programme documenting the changes in Dover throughout the regeneration process.  The programme will encompass a series of projects involving Dover's communities, Kent artists and invited UK and international artists.

'Generate- Activate' Project

To reflect the huge changes planned for Dover Town in their ambitious regeneration programme, this project is themed on change and the positive energy that it generates.  Using empty shop windows to provide a platform for contemporary art installations, this project aims to contribute to 'lifting' the overall visage of the area.

'Landscape of Exchange' Programme

This is an ongoing series of projects and exhibitions that examines the value (aesthetic, cultural, fiscal) of exchange between young artists living outside of major art world centres.

Landscape of Exchange (1) involves artists from Rabat in Morocco, Amaan in Jordan and White Nave's Artists' Fulcrum members.
